On your arrival at the airport in Lhasa you will be transferred to hotel where you will get to be acclimatized to that altitude of around (3,500m.). On the second and third of your tour you will be visiting places like Jokhang Temple, Barkhor market, Potala Palace, Sera and Drepung monasteries. On the fourth day you will leave to Gyantse from Lhasa on the way of which you will pass through Yamadroke Lake and very high passes at 5,000m. On the 5th day of the tour you will go for sightseeing in Gyantse after which you will drive to Xigatze in the evening through the typical Tibetan countryside. In Xigatze you will visit the Panchen Lama’s Tashilhumpu Monastery in morning and drive to Tingri crossing over Gyatchula (a pass of 5,200m) in the evening ending up today’s journey. On the 7th day you will leave Tingri to Ronbuk driving through beautiful country road. In Ronbuk you get a chance to visit the highest monastery in the world.
Today you will also visit The Everest Base Camp which is not more than 4 Km away from the town of Ronbuk. Here, you can rent a horse cart to travel to the Base camp or you can walk. The 8th day of tour is quiet challenging and exciting on which you will visit and explore the Everest BC and come back to Ronbuk to end your day and rest.
