ANNAPURNA CIRCUIT TREKKING:
Annapurna Circuit trek became one of the most controversial hiking routes in Nepal after some parts of the trail were turned into a road. There used to be many hikers walking from Besi Sahar to Nayapul nowadays the majority of people take a bus or a jeep at the beginning and at the end of the route to make it shorter and to skip walking on the road. We’d done quite a lot of trekking in Nepal and were prepared for this route to be a disappointment but fortunately, the trek turned to be much better than we anticipated. Before we walked the Annapurna Circuit trek we couldn’t find good information about how much road walk do you get, where is the best place to start and finish and why, how good are the alternative routes, etc. We decided to complete the whole route to check it out and to write the most detailed and comprehensive itinerary. We walked from Besi Sahar to Nayapul it took us 15 days to finish the circuit, we tried to skip walking on the road everywhere we could, out of 260 km of the trek we walked on the road 68 km and only 24 km were on a relatively busy road.
Itinerary
1: Arrive in Kathmandu International Airport & drive to hotel in Kathmandu.
2: Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing Tour
3: Drive to Basisahar (800 m) by tourist bus, trek to Bhulbule, 6 hrs
4: Trek to Jaget (1340 m), 6hrs
5: Trek to Dharapani (1850 m), 7hrs
6: Trek to Chame (2810m/ Koto, 6hrs
7: Trek to Upper Pisang (3,210m), 5hrs
8: Trek to Manang (3560m) upper trail Ghramu /Nawel, 7hrs
9: Rest in Manang for Acclimatization (4600 m), Meleropa cave,or Gangapurna Glacier walk, 7hrs
10: Trek to Yak Kharka ( 4100 m), 4hrs
11: Trek to Throng Phedi (4,540 m./
12: Climb up to the biggest pass Throng-la (5416 m)and drop down Muktinath (3820 m)
13: Trek to Kagbeni (2930 m) /Jomsom (2850 m)
14: Trek to Tukuche (4750 m) / Kobang /bus to Tatopani natural hot spring
15: Day15: Drive back to Pokhara
16: Pokhara Sightseeing
17: Drive back to Kathmandu with tourists bus 5-6 hours
18: Sightseeing Bhaktapur and Patan city
19: Dive to International airport 3 hours before departure flight.
